If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 for animals or go to the nearest emergency vet immediately.
Do not wait for a scheduled appointment — time is critical in veterinary emergencies.
When to Seek Emergency Care
Certain symptoms require immediate veterinary attention at a 24-hour emergency hospital — not a scheduled house call. If your pet is showing any of the following signs, please go directly to an emergency facility:
Signs of a Pet Emergency
- Difficulty breathing or choking
- Uncontrolled bleeding
- Suspected poisoning or toxin ingestion
- Seizures or loss of consciousness
- Inability to urinate (especially male cats)
- Severe trauma (hit by car, fall, animal attack)
- Bloated or distended abdomen
- Collapse or inability to stand
- Prolonged vomiting or diarrhea with blood
- Sudden blindness or severe eye injury
- Heatstroke (excessive panting, disorientation)
- Broken bones or obvious fractures

What Valet Vet Can Help With
While we cannot handle true emergencies, we do offer same-week sick visits for non-emergency concerns. If your pet is showing signs of illness that are not immediately life-threatening — such as mild vomiting, decreased appetite, limping, skin issues, or lethargy — please call us to schedule a sick visit.
Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM. Call us at 623-738-2738 and we'll help you determine whether your pet needs emergency care or can be seen by our team.
Not an Emergency?
If your pet is experiencing a non-urgent health concern, book a sick visit and we'll come to you.
