Before Your Visit

Preparing for Your
House Call

A few simple steps to help your appointment go smoothly โ€” so our team can focus on what matters most: your pet's health.

When to Expect Us

We schedule visits in morning and afternoon blocks. Our team will provide an ETA when they're en route to your home.

Morning Block
9:00am – 12:00pm
Afternoon Block
2:00pm – 4:00pm

Getting Ready for Your Visit

๐Ÿ
Prepare Your Space

Find a space in your home that is free of obstacles, with adequate lighting, so our team can safely examine your pet. Family rooms and living rooms work best โ€” please avoid small, cramped spaces. We'll bring everything we need.

๐Ÿ•
Dogs: Leash & Separate

Have your dog on a leash before our team arrives. If your dog is leash-reactive, confine them in another room and greet us first. If you have multiple dogs, please keep additional dogs separated until their turn โ€” this helps each pet get our full attention.

๐Ÿฑ
Cats: Confine to a Small Room

Before we arrive, confine your cat to a small room โ€” a bathroom works best since there are few hiding spots, and the counter is great for exams. If your cat tends to be anxious, hold off on confining them until just before our team arrives so they don't work themselves up.

๐Ÿงช
Collect Samples

If possible, please have the following ready:

  • Stool sample โ€” for annual parasite screening
  • Urine sample โ€” if requested or for possible testing
If you're unable to collect samples beforehand, don't worry โ€” we can work with you during the visit.

๐Ÿ“‹
Medical Records & Intake

If this is your first visit, please complete our online intake form and upload any prior medical records before your appointment. This helps our veterinarians review your pet's history in advance so we can make the most of your visit time.

โš ๏ธ
Behavioral Notes

Please let us know in advance if your pet tends to be anxious, fearful, or aggressive. This helps our team prepare the right approach, equipment, and handling techniques to keep everyone safe and your pet as comfortable as possible.

๐Ÿ’Š
Oral Sedation

If your pet has been prescribed oral sedation by one of our veterinarians during a previous consultation, please make sure the medication is administered before our team arrives. Follow the timing instructions provided โ€” this ensures your pet is calm and ready for their exam.

๐Ÿ’ณ
Payment & Financing

Payment is due in full at the time of service. Deposits may be required for certain procedures. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex, Zelle, Cash, and CareCredit. If you plan to use CareCredit or Scratchpay, please obtain credit approval before your appointment.

โฑ๏ธ

Appointment Duration: Most appointments last about 30 minutes (a bit longer for multiple pets seen on the same day). Rechecks and booster vaccine appointments are typically about 20 minutes. Additional pets cannot be seen unless previously scheduled.
